Zach Pearl is a production artist, assistant gallery coordinator, art instructor, and freelance designer currently residing in Minneapolis.

He graduated in 2006 from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, and has since pursued curating as a natural culmination of his interests in education, environmental narrative, art theory and design.

In 2007, Zach became part of an artist cooperative in Northeast Minneapolis. Deemed Tonnage as a play on the fact that the studio was housed in an abandoned armory, Zach coordinated exhibitions and fundraising events

that took place in the studio's adjacent gallery. That same year, Zach became a studio assistant at the Susan Hensel Gallery. In 2008, he assumed a more crucial role by completing an internship as assistant coordinator. In addition to designing marketing materials, maintaining the web presence and writing press releases, Zach gained curatorial experience when he oversaw the 8 month process of creating the exhibition that eventually gave way to this very website.

Zach has also been a part-time instructor for the Public Programs department at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts since 2005. He is currently applying to graduate programs with a focus in curatorial practice.
